Jess McLamb, president and founder of The Roper Group, has more than thirty years of accounting, management, and training experience as a manager of a statewide bank’s accounting department and an operations manager of a national insurance company in addition to her work at The Roper Group.

Jess has worked with hundreds of small businesses to set their business up on QuickBooks®. She has facilitated leadership and business skills classes for the small business centers of community colleges, NC State University, and various businesses and organizations across the state. She has helped business owners and employees, civic leaders, and managers across the country to improve their business and accounting skills.

Jess received her B.A. in Math with a minor in Psychology from East Carolina University. She also attended NC State University for post graduate accounting courses. She was a senior level manager (at First Citizens Bank and London Pacific Life & Annuity Company in Raleigh, NC) for close to 20 years before starting The Roper Group.

Jess founded the Wake County Women Business Owners Network in 1994. She is a member of and has served on various committees for the Greater Raleigh Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and the North Raleigh Civitan Club.
